The new Google Camera version is only available on the Android 14 beta right now.
So the big change is that they flipped two buttons?
Bring it!! I’ve been running 14 for a few weeks now… In fact I updated to the latest beta just yesterday. My camera app is still 8.9, however. How to I get this version? 🤔

There’s also an APKMirror link at the end of the linked article, but personally I’d wait for it to officially hit the Play Store.
You have more patience than I do. 😜 I’m not sure I trust APKMirror…but for some reason I don’t feel that way about the Telegram channel. 🤷♂️
The creator of that Telegram channel is based in Russia, so do with that what you will 👀

APKmirror only hosts APKs that matches the vendor digital signature, you won’t find modified stuff there. So in terms of safety it’s as safe as the Play Store itself.
I wish they’d add the option to turn off video stabilisation without digging deep into the settings. It is very useful but when you have a tripod or other means of stabilisation it causes an unnecessary zoom
