Given the last decade’s asset market explosion, is it going to keep going up? Is the market going to stagnate Japan-style? Are we in for a repeat of the Great Depression in the not so distant future?

It’s impossible for anyone to predict the future of the market with absolute certainty. While we can analyze trends, economic indicators, and historical patterns, the market is influenced by a myriad of factors, many of which are unpredictable. Historically, the stock market has shown a general trend of increasing over the long term, even through various crises and economic challenges. However, that doesn’t mean it’s immune to significant downturns or new unprecedented challenges, such as the potential economic ramifications of climate change.

As the saying goes, ‘past performance is not indicative of future results.’ It’s always best to be cautious and make informed decisions rather than relying on predictions.
