Reddit plans to charge for API access later this year, and this could mean the end of all free third-party Reddit apps and several paid apps.

    Self-hosting Lemmy was pretty easy, and federation works well. Many little things can be improved but at least user-facing the big systems work. Moderation might be more difficult, as always with social media…
