    They should push through rank choice voting and get rid of the first past the post system.

    16yo with developed critical thinking skills to decide what’s best for the country ? No way they will be manipulated by populists tiktok trends they’re too wise for that

        They don’t (I sure didn’t know who I would vote for and why at 16) but that doesn’t mean it needs to stay that way.

        This could present an opportunity to have a few classes still in school explaining why voting matters and why making an informed choice is important immediately when it gets relevant.

      Pensioners have ruined the UK.

      I’d rather take my chances with the 16 year olds whos demographic votes left, than the pensioners voting for the Tories and Brexit, and ruining the country for everyone under 65.

        Ideally arguments for who should be allowed to vote are independent of what they vote for. If you just want to ensure a specific outcome, there are far more efficient means than elections.
