Tesla’s new car sales in Europe fell 27.9% in May from a year earlier even as fully-electric vehicle sales in the region jumped 27.2%, with the U.S. EV maker’s revised Model Y yet to show signs of reviving the brand’s fortunes.

    The question is, did it sink compared go last year or is it a trend that keeps sinking this year, month to month. Since Elmo hasn’t been much in the news lately, I wonder if it is recovering.

      That is an important question indeed. IIRC. in January there was numbers of -40% and more. If that was month to month, fine, but if it was year to year in that month it would indicate sales to recover.

    It’s just not competitive. Tesla is expensive and overuses the touch screen. I don’t know anyone who enjoys touch-screen-for-everything gimmick. Charging station availability is also poor, while competition is gaining traction. Did anyone really thought Tesla can long term compete against well established brands?

    And just like tesla tubby enabled BYD to take the lead in another key industry.

    America wasted 20 years of state aid and got nothing to show for it in these key future markets. Over priced trash that can’t compete
