Cry me a river… Allow a rapist and 34 count convicted felon to do absolutely anything he wants to anyone he wants for whatever reason he wants, and then whinge about the fallout? Fuck you, fuck America and fuck anyone else that isn’t fighting fascism.

In today’s lesson, Ms. Healey has learned that “fucking around” leads to “finding out”.

I love how they’re trying to frame this as something the governments are driving. They’re not. Canadians are driving this. As in Canadian citizens.

Canadian citizens are deciding they don’t want to buy American goods. Canadian citizens are deciding they don’t want to be stuck in a gulag at the whims of a border guard as “tourism”. Talking heads and billionaire mouthpieces (known by the twee name “governments”) are not going to fix this.

Its absolutely the fact trump is a fascist shit stain driving it. Canadians are just behaving like decent people. Healy understands this and places the blame squarely on trump.

She has some other issues like not raking ICE seriously. But blaming Canadians isnt one of them.

She is talking to Canadian government people as if the governments are the people behind “elbows up” is my point. Talking to government to make “their own deals” isn’t going to do a damned thing to a grass-roots movement founded on utter revulsion of what the USA has becomealways been, but not so openly.

She’s acting as if the Canadian government (at any level) can do anything to end this.

        They can’t.

Indeed any Canadian government that tried to run contrary to this movement would find themselves losing votes really quite quickly. Because it’s not an action that government triggered, endorsed, or tried to enact.

No preachy press. No billionaire-owned bureaucrat. No elected eminence. None of these are going to change the truth on the ground: Canadians at large are bone weary of America’s shit.

there are other issues beyond tourism like the energy which is in the domain of the governments of mass and canada.

massachusetts is also bone wear of america’s shit.

i didnt say her attempts would work just that she is cognizant of the issues. its just one of those things she has to try and do on the off chance it ends up helping her state.

What did you think was going to happen?

That the rest of the world would be NPCs just blithely accepting whatever you want?
