So-called “puff” devices generate habits among young people that can lead to tobacco addiction, she added.

However, the government does not plan to raise taxes on tobacco next year after an increase this year, the prime minister said.

Just ban them for the insane waste they generate. Entire batteries just being tossed in the street. How are these legal anywhere is beyond me

Yup. Canada banned RTAs/RDAs (because 1 child died in the US in 2003 iirc) but allow the garbage dump-filling disposables … then scream bloody murder about how kids are using them.

Well duh. Bring back the rebuildables and few kids will have the money to spend and/or the drive to learn how to build coils, maintain the mod, etc.

Even just refillable tanks or pods. I have a pod based one, they last ages, refill when I need. Battery is rechargeable etc. None of the alleged “risks” of RDAs etc. As reusable as possible rather than this huge waste we have

    I actually didn’t know disposable e-cigarettes were a thing? Isn’t the appeal of e-cigarettes that they’re reusable?

All you people saying good can get fucked. Every government across the board has done more in the last 10 years to ban vaping, make it harder to access, take away forms of it, people are forced to buy disposables because that’s literally all they can access. Fuck me I’ll be back smoking in a few years, because I need a fucking escape and they’ll have banned vaping completely because THINK OF THE CHILDERN.

This is extremely good… disposables are horrid for the environment and vape worse than other inexpensive vaporizers with replaceable coils and rechargeable batteries. Disposable vapes should never have existed. They’re pointless.

Hey man, I just gave it up myself this past January with that Allen carr how to stop smoking book. It worked well for me. Maybe you should grab it off library genesis or something. Your overall happiness will increase without spamming that dopamine button multiple times a day.

I spent a good portion of the late 90’s trying to quit cigarettes … tore up cartons of smokes, swore up and down I’d quit, and it never worked. For me it was easier to quit drinking (I had a problem with that too) than to quit smoking. Started vaping in 2015 instead.

        Not everyone can quit.

        Just saying.

I have 0 want to stop a nicotine addiction, which is why I vape. I’m an adult who can make adult choices, if I wanted to quit I would.
