Does a vote for a president in prison ultimately go toward whoever is their running mate? Good questions. The VP would be president if the elected president can’t do the job for any reason (death, incapacitaiton, etc.). If Trump chooses a kid as his running mate, and wins, then yes. Trump would never cede power to anyone though. He’d try to run the country from prison, and in his role as commander-in-chief, would be constantly ordering the military to break him out.
As long as he isn’t in prison, he’s actually winning. We need him locked up.

Then someone files a motion to throw out the pardon because the idea of a self-pardon is absolutely ridiculous.
POTUS can only pardon federal crimes, not state
most of the charges against drumpf are state charges thankfully, which he can’t pardon himself for. Thank fuck.
That’s why the Georgia charges are so important. He can’t pardon himself for state crimes.
