As the title asks, has anyone here had experience with it? I saw it mentioned once on lemmy and I was intrigued, but I don’t quite understand what do you actually do on a specific tilde, how do you choose which tilde to sign up to and what makes them a “-verse”, because they all seem to be rather disconnected from each other?

    I’m on the original (dev-hosted) forum. Users are nice but the format isn’t as good as lemmy. Great Minecraft server, though.

    member status in the tildeverse mainly involves some level of engagement or presence on irc; all other systems are independent." - from their website.

    It seems that the -verse comes from the protocol standard and that they share a common chat channel.
