It is my dire belief that the entire world will have to invade America, like we did with Germany.

More likely, the rest of the world will look the other way while America cannibalizes itself.

That basically is their gameplan. Project2025 aims to turn the US into a christofascist nation, whereas the techbro “Butterfly…something” plan is attempting to dissolve the government and split the nation into corporate serfdoms.

I am hoping America splits into pieces, with Europe supporting the democratic bits. In the long run, that might allow Free America to rid itself of conservative baggage and become a genuinely shining city. Here’s hoping that we get a decent ending to this sordid tale.

Americans were quite sympathetic towards the Nazis before the war. A lot of the pseudo-science race teachings and call for eugenics, which is genocide, were supported in the US. The Nazis got inspired by the flag saluting fascist ritual “pledge of allegiance” that still exists today, but long before. Henry Ford and other “models of the American Dream” could spread their Antisemitic hatred globally, while being recognized, revered or at least tolerated by their US American co-citizens.

The US was on its best way to become a fascist empire in the 20th century already, without any influence from the German Nazis. The German Nazis may have helped slightly, but the responsibility lies with the US Americans. After all the US was founded on a settler colonial white supremacist ethnic cleansing and genocide itself.

I agree with your conclusion. The US will not stop until it is stopped, like any other fascist country will not stop until it is stopped.

There are examples, yes, but that’s a hell of an oversimplification. Such that it could be called bullshit. Which I do.

      The south.

The Nuremberg Laws were Jim crow but with the one drop rule crossed out and Hitlers name written at the top.

Black GIs came back from liberating Europe, to be lynched for being ‘too uppity’.

If it wasn’t for the south desperately trying to drag us into their filth we wouldn’t have had W, we wouldn’t have Trump, we could have had universal Healthcare and just generally not sold everything out to the oligarchs.

The rise of the United States was due to the destruction of the south as a political power, allowing the rest of the country to grow, for instance the transcontinental railroad.

Cancer can go into remission, but it doesn’t always stay there.

          Absolutely not!

What kind of message does that send?!

We should have given all the slavers to their slaves, and then just walked away.

Let nature quietly take its course.

That’s a garbage take. In very few states do Republicans win by majorities greater than 60/40. So those 40% of southerners actively voting against these policies should be nuked?

Atlanta should be reduced to ash because surrounding counties voted red? Hell Georgia has flipped back and forth recently and is nearly a 50/50 split. Even florida had 42% of voters vote against Trump. That is millions of people.

This is truly a really bad take. If we just mandated voting and mailed everyone a ballot this issue would likely solve itself. It would be cheaper than nukes too

My family moved me there in high school, I managed to escape after college.

It gets better, that’s all I can say, just keep your head down and try to survive.

They’re monsters, but hopefully you can leave soon.

The problem with that solution is it makes us no better than they are.

Well, a little better, we’d be saving the world from their filth and evil.

But personally, let’s replace them with hardworking, decent Mexicans, who seem to make such better Americans because they don’t take it for granted.

But the south is just destroying us as a nation, again, and our mercy is why, we needed to hand over the entire ruling class of the south over to their slaves and just walked away.

160 years of evil and suffering because of a moment of mercy, how unfortunate.

I realize that I’m not going to leave a single dent in 57 years of conspiracy theories by saying this, but

          • It wouldn’t require government intervention to create opposition to the civil rights movement, they were more common than MAGAts.

          • The government targeting the icon for peaceful nonviolent approach would certainly be an unusual play to make.

          • The opposition to civil rights in the federal government was the majority party, and the passing of the Civil Rights Act was bipartisan.

          • James Earl Ray, past crimes included Burglary, Armed Robbery, Mail Fraud (stealing checks in the mail), and Armed Robbery Again before escaping prison from 1967 to 1969 before being caught in London, during which time he traveled many states but eventually wound up in LA where he worked and frequently visited the George Wallace headquarters, Wallace being a Segregationist politician and presidential candidate. Ray was renting a room across the street from MLK Jr’s place of assassination and fled shortly thereafter.

It’s confusingly worded, but I think they were saying “they” as in “America” were having a civil rights movement (60s), and that the Nazi successors started the war on drugs to undermine and destroy it.

Top Nixon aide and Watergate conspirator John Ehrlichman.

“The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I’m saying? We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did.”

Lee Atwater on the Southern Strategy (1980s, in the Reagan White House):

You start out in 1954 by saying, “N_gger, n_gger, n_gger.” By 1968 you can’t say “n_gger”—that hurts you, backfires. So you say stuff like, uh, forced busing, states’ rights, and all that stuff, and you’re getting so abstract. Now, you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is, blacks get hurt worse than whites.… “We want to cut this,” is much more abstract than even the busing thing, uh, and a hell of a lot more abstract than “N_gger, n_gger.”
