If this blunt-trauma-induced idea proliferates, I’m getting a fucking cordless landline. Fuck that gaggle of lifelong lead paint sommeliers.

The iphone 16e being available in a whopping 2 colors is a blatant admission that Apple understands most people are going to slap a case on it immediately. Wireless charging rarely works for me as intended with a case on. It’s also a lot of fun when you check your phone mid sleep, fail to put it on the charger just right and wake up to a flat battery.

fail to put it on the charger *just right*

To be fair, that’s the exact problem that MagSafe solves, so wouldn’t be an issue for this hypothetical port-less iPhone.

Who knew all the talk about EU being consumer friendly was just a call for more lobbying money being spent in the EU?

So consumer and eco friendly that you’ll need to use a different device, vastly inferior to wires, just to charge your phone.

    Well played EU. Well Played!

      Headline warrior strikes again…

They even quote the regulations and why they don’t also (it’s a port standard, nothing about devices with no ports on there so the regulations don’t apply).
