    People bitching about this as if USB-C was forbidden to ever change.

    That said, I don’t like how much heat wireless charging causes.

      It’s especially dumb considering the new wireless standard uses magnets to make sure the phone is aligned to the charger. At that point, why not just make it a physical magnetic connector on the back of the phone and avoid wireless altogether.

      Other than plugging it in my car for CarPlay I’ve been charging my iPhone 15 Pro at home exclusively via MagSafe since launch. I found that the key is setting the charge limit to 80% so it never gets the phone hot during a charge. After about 18 months my battery is at 96% health.
