Pictures of Minsc are a spoiler. I’m still waiting on the Mac version to release and already knew, but I’m sure some people would prefer to remain unaware that our favourite ranger from the original games is back with his miniature gigantic space hamster buddy.

Hate to be the typical Lemmy Linux apologist here, but if you’re on an Intel Mac, you could dual-boot Linux just to play BG3 via Proton. The setup would be relatively minimal, free, and it runs quite well that way. I’ve been only playing it on Linux.

I have the early access and it already runs kinda rough on my 2018 middle-spec Mac Mini so I’m not going to bother trying to run it in Windows although I do have Bootcamp already set up.

Although I haven’t played since patch 6 and I hear there were some performance improvements. I’m a patient gamer usually, but I was a huuuuuuge fan of the original games and was totally impatient on this one. It’s worth the wait and putting up with the rough performance.
