I kinda dig what they’re going for, if it’s as intentional as it seems.

By taking the label of tranny onto themselves, literally and figuratively, it’s taking power back. The inclusion of the anarchy A bolsters that self empowerment. Then, with the tattoo itself looking home made rather than professional, it adds another layer of the rejection of external judgements and paradigms.

So, if the person got the tattoo as a statement, I think they succeeded to a high degree. There’s a lot of power in a statement like that. Even the placement of it would play a role in the message of it.

Again, that’s from the viewpoint of it being a statement rather than having lost a bet or whatever.

Maybe this is a transgender person reappropriating/reclaiming the word for themselves. But yeah, the tattoo definitely looks shitty.

It’s a crime against art, and humanity at the very least.
