Adding reviews with political opinions might remove the review.

So it might be best to just rate it based on features if you write something, or just rate the apps without text at all.

Your Google Account name. If it happens tobe your real name, that sucks. If you don’t have it set that way, much less of a problem.

I think this is something you could do before closing your google account. But don’t spend too much time on that.

I tried to write ‘reviews with political opinions’ -wow, you can be very diplomatic- but most sites do not ask anymore when you leave, except for paypal whose site gave an ‘unknown error’ and refused to let me proceed.

Only when I choose one of their general options I could delete the account.

Looks like ruzzian feedback…you can choose between; “good” or “very good” :P

Imagine being into buying from the EU and using Google Play and Apple Store … it’s a process, I guess.

Well, if you got an iPhone or a Phone that is not, yet degoogled, what good is it to trash the Phone? Thinking of the environment, it doesn’t seem to be sustainable or economic at all. Use it till it breaks.

      Yes. It’s a process.

I’d be happy to be educated about the alternatives here. Because I don’t know of any trustworthy European ones for proprietary apps.

        proprietary apps

There’s your problem. Replacing american closed-sourced apps with european closed-sourced apps is not the solution - usually, an american open-source application is going to be a better alternative than a european closed-source application. European commercial tech (if you can find any in the first place) rarely sees an issue with sharing data with US tech companies, which is a lot worse than e.g. using Signal, which right now still seems secure and doesn’t share any metadata (which it supposedly doesn’t save in the first place) with US companies or the US state. This is the reason why we’re on lemmy in the first place!

So, for app stores, F-Droid is the go-to store for open-source apps right now, though some projects also offer standalone APKs (e.g. Signal).
