The R3X looks really nice in my opinion, much better than the obnoxiously large R1S.
I think Rivian has a lot of potential to take over as the next big dedicated EV manufacturer, after people are turned off from Tesla. Hopefully this model launch goes well for them.
I’m sure I’m not alone, but I really hope they add some sedans to their lineup. That will certainly help push them to be a top maker in the US (provided they don’t stay $60k)
As far as I understand, their current plans look something like:
R1 - truck/SUV R2 - compact SUV R3 - hatchback
So no sedans currently planned for the next few years at least. Though the R3 does look quite nice.
That’s what I’ve seen as well. The r3 is probably close enough to a sedan, but there will still be a market for actual cars, not just mini SUVs. Who knows
I think Rivian, being an American manufacturer, is probably basing their offerings on the American market first. And there, there seems to be very little demand for sedans, outside of wherever they are the cheapest option available.
I wish it were otherwise, but that seems to be the way the market is going.
That car looks crazy. Not sure if I like it or dislike it.
