    Am I the only one thinking if I sign these petitions which ask for all of my personal details, that there’s a chance it could come back to bite me when the database inevitably gets hacked or forced open if something extreme occurs between our countries?

        The US government doesn’t have my details saying I agree with a petition though.

      Any kind of resistance or protest could. The alternative is just to keep quiet and let the fascists do what they want and hope they don’t notice you. But they will in the end anyway.

      Maybe there are more anonymous ways of pushing back, but I don’t think anything will stay anonymous for long when they have all the apparatus they have. So I would say it’s better to do whatever we can, even if it’s just a dumb petition today, and do something else tomorrow, and make it as difficult as possible for these people to do what they want to do.
