So few of the Conservative candidates have been willing to talk to anyone that it’s been looking downright bizarre. I mean, you’re not required to go door-to-door, but refusing debates and nearly all media interviews isn’t normal. Is Ford really that afraid of what they might say?

      Yes.

An MPP just made wild claims that the widely-known video of Ford talking to developers about selling the greenbelt was “AI generated” and “fake news”. If they spoke freely, it would show how similar he is to Trump and Poilievre-style politicians.

Ford is also an authoritarian neoliberal who wants top-down, complete control of his party. Bill 212 revealed how little he cares for any public debate, public opinion, any form of expertise that goes against his beliefs, and how strongly he expects his MPPs to obey.

    Is it though?

My local candidate debate was meh, but at least everyone else showed up.

I don’t know what the hell my conservative candidate even stands for, but now I know all about the others.

When did questions to elected politicians EVER need to be “fair”? Just playground politics again.

No thanks, I would rather not have someone canvasing at my door to talk politics.
