Good on him!
Just to clarify, he was arrested for disrupting the meeting after he walked onto the stage, a knowing act of civil disobedience on his part. The headline leaves out enough detail to imply that he was arrested for what he said.
“MAGA is profoundly corrupt, unmistakably anti-democracy and most importantly, MAGA is explicitly a Nazi movement,” Kluwe, who punted for eight seasons with the Vikings, said. “You may have replaced a swastika with a red hat, but that’s what it is.”
This guy 👍
absolutely.
he’s the guy that put a sticky note on his uniform ‘vote ray guy’ in support of the legendary punter’s constant snubbing by the hall of fame. ray guy did get inducted into the hall two years later.
in 2012 he quit writing for the st paul pioneer press (was a great blog on the paper’s web site) after the paper published an endorsement of a state constitutional amendment that would have banned same-sex marriage. he also ruffled feathers in the vikings head office with his support for same-sex marriage. i think it caused him to be released from the team in 2014, and ultimately ended his nfl career.
You’re wrong, and only the type of wrong an over-tanned ham hock like yourself can accomplish, plummeting past the morass of gross incivility into the abyss of depraved sociopathy
a true warrior poet

Misleading title. He got arrested for climbing up on a stage and not leaving until the cops arrested him as part of a plan to bring attention to his words.
I think he was successful though
Maga snowflakes getting hurt over words
This is actually how it’s supposed to play out. I can’t speak for how MAGA folks felt, but getting arrested is part of the civil disobedience. You make your protest in a way that peacefully violates the law and the arrest draws attention to what you’re saying and conviction behind it. The cops do their job. Sure they might have just ejected him from the building, but they only detained him for a few hours and there’s no evidence of police brutality.
Unpopular opinion comin in hot. I agree that it played out as it should have and that cops (the ones without a chip on their shoulders) are vital to it all. When it goes “as planned”, cops are there as much to arrest unlawful violators as they are there to protect lawful actions as well, such as peaceful protests (though this particular case was unlawfully disruptive). I love the message and the style of it all though and I think to get arrested in this manner is something I would brag about lol.
