    Only partner Digimon can revert. The natural Digivolution is seemingly permanent. I’ve never seen an episode where a Digimon reverted without a Digivice involved.

    A Digivice is a tool that the human partner has. It’s what allows the partner Digimon to access higher forms earlier.
