A while back I listened to an interview with Pentagon Jr. (now Penta in WWE) saying that hiding your identy isn’t quite what it used to be as now fans are so in on it that the recognize you by your tatoos and your moves.

I’ve thought about that an unhealthy amount since then. There is a bunch of good reasons to be a masked luchador, not the least of which is fans not recognizing you at your real job as a bag boy at the grocery store. None of those reasons, however, seem to make sense to get tatoos. I know the younger kids these days see tatoos as a right of passage or something, but I would think you’d want to avoid them if you are going to be a real life super hero.

I wouldn’t abstain per se, but I do feel I would get tattoo’s in less visible places (that being when I’m out-of-mask/ring gear I’m wearing clothing that covers up anything obvious).

Before I knew Jon Cruz was Serpentico (and while too lazy to google it then) I spent a while trying to compare the tattoo he has on his right forearm (which is 90% covered by the wrists pieces he wears for his gear lol)
