    What a sad reality to live in where a piece of shit like trump can net the support of 40% of an entire country for a seat at the White House, while simultaneously having to be reminded not to threaten witnesses at a trial where he is accused of undermining the very government he wishes to control with an iron fist.

    I fucking hate this country.

        IIRC a recent poll sai that 68% “absolutely would not” support Trump, which is certainly comforting since other polls have him and Biden neck-and-neck.

        While I want to be reassured by these numbers and the small decrease in Trump’s base since 2016, I simultaneously don’t want to let my guard down.

        This election is going to be super stressful. 2016 was a “they both suck and, though I’m highly sceptical, I don’t actually know how well Trump can do politics, so I’ll withhold judgement for now” time, then 2020 was “god I want this loser out of my newsfeed already, but America’s gone to shit and this is life right now so I’m used to it and won’t stress too hard about the results”, to now being “bro there was literally a coup attempt and now we’re finally getting some meaningful action being done but the GOP keeps fucking things up please god please buddha please shiva don’t make us go back”.
