    It was a rompy oceans 11 in space. Felt totally disconnected from star trek.

    The nano being that could take over any computer system is a little overpowered for the story. So the stakes were not compelling.

      The Ocean’s comparison is spot on, minus the established charm.

      Had I known of the Lilliputian’s limitless plot breaking powers or his wiry Irish accent, might’ve pegged him for the traitor prior to viewing.

      Section 31 in general should just not exist in Trek, let alone get a dedicated series or movie. It is the lest Trek thing in all of Trek canon.

        It was fine as a one shot boogy man. It was even ok for it to be revived a few times as a ghost story or joke thing. But like you say, it’s the antithesis of trek and it makes no sense for people to keep trying to make trek stories around the least trek thing in trek canon. Sorta like making an entire trek series set in the mirror universe, just make your own IP and let trek be trek ffs.
