Deadnaming people isn’t suddenly ok just because you don’t like them, even if they are objectively a huge piece of shit.

You’re only aloud to deadname companies, gulfs, etc. never a person. Caitlyn is a piece of shit but not bc she’s trans.

Thats not punching up though. Its a cluster grenade spreading hate wherever it happens to land.

Go after Jenner for the horrific behavior, not for how she was born.

IF you listen to how she talks about other transpeople it’s actually horrific, she’s literally advocated for barring “Those who can’t afford it” from transitioning.

Maybe they just don’t like the name Bruce, maybe they didn’t like the person Bruce was and actually likes Caitlyn.

It’s not about the individual, but the principle. Deadnaming or delegitimizing someone, even under the excuse that they are terrible, opens the door to deadname/delegitimize others for whatever other reason someone sees as valid.

Caitlyn Jenner should be in prison. But it should still be a women’s prison.

It’s not about Caitlyn, it’s about every other trans person. If you decide one person has lost the “right” to not be deadnamed, you are inherently supporting the deadnaming of others by those that have decided they haven’t “earned” it. You are participating from a position that sees a person’s chosen identity as something that can and should be taken away. If you have any love for trans people at large, don’t treat their identity like a tool that can be used to manipulate or hurt them.

Fuck that even the nuance. If you have love for humanity at large you won’t do this. Anyone can have their identity taken away. These fuckers think they are safe because they are cis? Hey, 249609, get back in your fucken crate. Chosen Identity is for everyone, trans rights are human rights.

This take won’t break through but its the absolute truth and why minorities and marginalized people are important for humanity and empathy. Its crazy people dont see this to me.

I’m not arguing tolerance of intolerance. I’m pointing out how using someone’s trans-ness against them hurts all trans people, not just that person. There are other ways to rebuke or speak out against intolerance.

Because calling them a huge piece of shit isn’t another way of calling them a name they don’t use
