Yeah they used hyperbole for no reason, I’d compare it to a child having a broken toe, in which case, yes, I would personally go to a hospital right away.
I’d likely wait until my vet is open rather than go to emergency vet. She was in the emergency vet for 24 hours and that was $2600. Unfortunately the emergency vet we’ve used in the past got bought by Blue Pearl. Very nice but very expensive.
