    And yet, everyone keeps going there. Let’s be honest, they only did it because they thought it was what everyone wanted while the Dems were in power.

    Now they’re changing it again because the leadership is shifting. Why can’t companies just make decisions based on what they actually want to do, without pandering to politics?

    That could mean embracing DEI initiatives or ignoring them entirely—I’m fine with either choice. It’s the performative gestures, done just for appearances, that bother me.

    I will say that the Bud Light fiasco was the most irritating to me. They literally did it just because that’s the wave they thought people were going for. Soooo funny when that backfired bigtime.

      You need to understand that the one and only value corporations have is profits. No matter what their image is, what narratives they try to pander to, how they try to position themselves on social ans political issues.

      The underlying motive is always and without fail to make more money for the owner class. Anything else is performative in an effort to increase said profits in some way. There is nothing a company “wants to do” except rake in money.
