Under Trump logic that any country that has a trade deficit is taking advantage of US and must submit harder to US, surely giving power to a nazi ethnostate that doesn’t control US politicians (Israel is special), but sucks up US budget resources is ineligible/untrustable to be included in a mutual protection alliance with US.
EU can choose/double down on its pathetic colonial subservience by being unsupported in its war on Russia, while Ukraine is sold more to Blackrock, and EU spends more on US weapons and energy.
