Elon Musk joined a wave of right-wing fury against a bill to keep the government open. Now, the president-elect says he wants big changes, too, before this weekend's deadline.
Glad somebody is. They push this junk through at the last minute to make sure nobody can read it all before the vote. This was supposed to be done months ago. They could still pass a CR bill and push it out until January but that wouldn’t include all their pork in it including pay raises for themselves and exempting themselves from Obama care so sadly, it’s all or nothing.
They haven’t actually had a pay increase since 2009, and it’s not something ridiculous, I think it bumps them to 174k a year, they clear that easy with their loosly restricted investment abilities. Despite that it was a sticking point for some who didn’t want it.
The main argument they couldn’t agree on was if they wanted to give farmers 10 billion or 16 billion dollars of banking support.
Yeah, those dumbass dysfunctional Republicans just can’t get their stupidity together to do basic shit like a simple budget without fighting amongst themselves like idiots and here we are yet another Republican controlled and inflicted government shutdown, another CR due to complete Republican incompetence.
Why would Republicans want to pass it when it’s got so much extra garbage in it? 100 million for migrant farm workers, fleets of electric busses, pay raises for congress along with exempting themselves from Obama Care while forcing it on the rest of us, etc. No thanks. That doesn’t seem like much of a CR bill to me. It’s more like another omnibus spending bill.

Go ask your dysfunctional Republicans on that one since they put it together.
How high are you right meow?
Not high enough to fall for a bill like the current one apparently
