    Don’t be ageist.

We grew up respecting our elders because they had wisdom. The issue here isn’t wisdom but a lack of character; and that’s ageless.

Chances are, although they can’t debug a peerfs problem on a tiny text window on a phone with shitty wifi while in seat 12c at 30,000 feet, they will know about people; and their morals should be intact. Ignore this years flashy tech bullshit and listen to what they can teach you.

The ones who weren’t shitbags to begin with, aren’t shitbags now. The ones who are assholes their entire life are - surprise - still assholes.

    Hanks for listening.

Elders have wisdom, but they also tend to be out of touch. The world is simply moving way too fast for people who grew up in the aftermath of WWII to be at the helm today when what’s needed is fresh ideas that the gerontocracy is physiologically incapable of producing.

I agree, but a lot of the problem is the corrupt have had a political lifetime to amass influence. Also, for the Democrats at least, the oldest politicians aren’t getting butts to the polls.
