    Article said that the officers had responded to a complaint to which she matched the description, decided that it wasn’t her, but did find that she had an expired registration. Minor issue, probably would have gotten a minor fine or something, but she took issue with them dealing with that, and things went bad from there.

    Poblete’s partner examines the tires on Gao’s car and is heard saying, “tires are good… not hot.”

    After the officers seemingly determined that Gao was not doing donuts in the parking lot, they were preparing to let her go. However, Poblete said his dispatcher had informed them that her vehicle registration was expired.

    The situation intensified from there.

      It was not just the vehicle registration.

      (Gao) only produced an identification card from Massachusetts

      I’m assuming that was a government issue Mass. ID card, not a Mass. drivers license.

      Was driving without a valid drivers license justification for shooting at her after she sped away?

      Seems harsh.
