      I wouldn’t steal a car. But if I wanted a car, and I could illegally get a copy of one for free without taking someone’s car away from them, you bet I would do so.

    Likewise, a 2022 behavioral economics paper published in The Information Society found the PSAs may, in fact, have increased piracy rates.

    I believe this. It certainly reminded me how easy it is to pirate things and how stupid it is to be told not to.
