No the cops had a description of the guy. They did an investigation after the murder. They probably went around all the nearby businesses that were opened at that time and requested video surveillance footage. They probably also questioned the employees with pictures of the guy and either they had to comply or didn’t know who they were talking about. Who knows.
I can imagine the employee receiving threats from his employer and from police if they didn’t cooperate. We shouldn’t blame them.
How would the employer possibly know what is in one’s mind?
I don’t think it’s difficult to find out who saw the guy that night. They knew what date and time he came in and therefore who was working that shift.
Police probably asked for the camera footage and if McDonald’s employees didn’t comply, in sure they would’ve faced certain repercussions.
