First game I’ve gotten to watch after being dismissed from the hospital! It felt like they were outplayed for most of the first two periods, but somehow they were leading in shots and I think chances too and they killed it in the third. Other than making Thompson save like thirty breakaways, obviously.

Welcome back! The Caps seem to be a third period team as of late. Hopefully they can start putting together three periods of hockey.

We’re having replication issues again. I knew this thread existed because I checked Lemmy.world, but it wasn’t showing on my instance until today. Same with the Leafs game thread.

Thanks for the heads up. Unlike the previous case of federation delays where it seemed the delay was from lemmy.ml (my home instance) to lemmy.world, it looks like this latest delay was from lemmy.world to lemm.ee. If you visit this health checker site, it shows a spike in federation time starting Fri 12/6 and resolving on Sun 12/8. Oddly, the spike seems to only have affected lemmy.world-to-lemm.ee federation because the chart showing federation from lemmy.world to other instances looks flat for that same time period.

I hope that it’s just transient and doesn’t become a normal recurrence, but for my part, one thing I can do is start posting the game threads earlier in the day so there’s as much time as possible for the federation to do its thing.

Sounds like an issue with ee then. I didn’t know there was a way to check that, thanks.
