Saw a tiny shrouded demo of a consumer 480Hz panel at ISMAR years ago. Didn’t expect difference from 240Hz to be perceptible, since it already looks ridiculously smooth, but I was wrong. I’m not sure where the upper limit is for a typical human eye, but surely we’re nearing it with a 480Hz?
