Well DT, I got the place… and at the original rent no less (thanks, sloppy REAs!). Payment has gone through so it’s official.

I’m relieved but also… now that it’s real my heart is also filled with incredible, crushing sadness. I know it’s going to be good for me to downsize and cull and open up my life to new options but I am so, so, sad to have to let go of my comforts here under such ugly circumstances. I can’t even bear to look at my plants, it breaks my heart. Such is life though, isn’t it. Change does not always happen the way we want it to. (and this isn’t by far the worst experience I’ve had having to leave a house)

My plan for tonight is to just make a meta-list of tasks so that I don’t feel too overwhelmed, but after that I’m going to just let the emotions flow through and watch an episode of Shrinking and take it easy. No stiffer up lip tonight. The work will start tomorrow. I know I’ll get through this, there is joy on the other side. ❤️‍🩹

Honestly again I’m more than happy to look after them in the interim until they either follow you and/or for when you find them a new home (I promise I won’t eat them).

I appreciate the offer! But many are not long for this world anyway (biannuals/annuals that i didn’t bother replacing).

I’ve got several offers of good homes for the big plants from friends and colleagues (helps when most of them are into plants heh). Could even take the manzano to the office courtyard. I’m pretty fond of that lil dude

Sending you my love, I am glad that you have a place to move to.

I’m sorry about your plants, it’s difficult to let go, especially when the circumstances are so lame. But there will be a time when you will have plants again to pour your love and care into. This is a temporary stop on your journey, and you have already proven yourself to be capable, intelligent, and motivated. Trust yourself, you are awesome.

Wherever you end up, you’re always always welcome in the DT here. And we’ll always be here rooting for you and waving our flags for you 💜

I’m so glad to hear you were able to get a place but sad for your plants.

I’d offer to take them up but I’ve have not had a good time with plants myself and I’m sure they don’t like me back due to neglect.

Celebrate tonight and over the weekend.

I hope you’re able to sleep better now that you don’t have to worry about a place.

What kind of plants and what sort of setup? (Not asking for anything doxable, just an idea of what you could be working with in the new place.)

There’s a lot of creative ways to have plants, even ones that are just indoor plants. There are also small hydroponic indoor garden kits that could fit on a bench top or windowsill for herbs, bonsai, or air plants.

(I’m so sorry, I’m not good with emotional support and tend to be a fixer but I understand if this is not helpful or wanted)

In the news today: It’s official. Pauline Hanson is a racist.
I nearly made a post about it - but I decided it wasn’t actually news to anyone.

it bothers me how when she first started she was mocked for being a woman, for being a red head, for being working class, for having a working class business

and then people wonder why she got votes 🙄

few people reported on or cared what she was saying, nor that what she was saying was normal LNP party policy

there are few good guys in that whole fucking drama

It isn’t, but it’s like when you have someone that everyone knows has ADHD who finally gets a diagnosis. It’s good for everyone that it’s finally on record and they can get the support they need.

Actually I don’t know if that last bit will happen for Pauline 🤔

why are you making shit up, I never said I agreed or supported her

I am saying how she was reported and what the public response was

it pissed me off how the LNP lied when they said they weren’t racist and that Hanson doesn’t represent them, she exposed them all as being racist. She was originally a LNP candidate.

Hanson was quoting the policies in the members handbook the LNP gave her

the racist LNP were angry at her for exposing their hidden racism, the city middle class mocked her , this is such a fucking classist country

the news did not focus on her racism and nativism, just her class

I hated Fraser but at least he wasn’t a racist cunt like Howard and the rest

😂 I just realised last week that I didn’t have to do that crappy xmas dinner in July shitty deal. MIL#1 really wanted me to cook a xmas dinner and have all the celebration but without presents. So last year I did, I made a lovely three course xmas dinner then made everyone watch two different Scrooge movies so they truly understood the meaning of xmas. They did not expect to celebrate the meaning of xmas, they just wanted a fancy dinner and to be fashionable. They did not like the Scrooge. They have never mentioned xmas in winter/July again. 😄

I started playing just before Endwalker came out so I basically played everything through together all the way through to the Endsinger, so didn’t really have proper separation through any part of it. Dawntrail is my first experience of playing a single expansion at a time (and it sucks, I want to mainline more MSQ dammit, none of this waiting another 2 years for a new expansion!)

I main healer so I’ll get to keep you alive if you YOLO tank 😊

I did last year before I sold my old ps5.

The story was fucking amazing. Wish the combat outside of the massive fights was a but more interesting.

If it had the new ff7 combat it would have been probably my fave game of all time.

so many stinky people out there

      the way to do perfume

spray 3 short spritzes in the air and walk thru the cloud

after shave, put a few sprinkles on your hands and dab gently on all the shaved areas of your face. It’s an antiseptic.

        way to do perfume:

        TINY. DABS.

Remember it’s supposed to entice someone to come closer, to put their face near your neck to sniff that intriguing scent. They should not be able to smell you fifteen minutes after you left the fucking room, it defeats the purpose

I find the unscented or ‘sensitive’ antiperspirants aren’t as effective which is unfortunate. Really hate that they changed the Mitchum roll on.

I currently use it anyway because the other unscented options aren’t good and it’s better than accidental perfume cloud

I went with the Nivea women’s sensitive roll on, It seems to be working so far the last 2 months I’ve been using it but it’ll probably get a workout during summer.

I do find that it doesn’t irritate me though which is good.
