Top level comments should be media which represents the general consensus of a topic on our instance. The media should be friendly for more liberal readers/viewers and ideally be quick and/or easy to consume.

Obviously, the term “party line” is facetious and I’m using the word “consensus” very loosely, but I think this would be a good thing to point curious passersby to when we have big threads fully of dunking and memes.

    I think sharing any evidence that lib reps don’t push back against right policies (supreme court packing, student loan forgiveness as US examples) and will actively insert rightist policies into the few bills they do pass are also easy pieces of evidence to provide. It’s what got me questioning the most.

    It also can resolve the discussion the fastest. They can reply “wow that’s fucked but” - maybe continue discussion or “yeah less trans rights is great” - ppb

    They can also be sourced from democratic beacon pillars of truth like CNN or NYT or from the law itself.
