    I’m happy to explain my ideology to people. But it’s not easy to explain without putting in a lot of foundational work first. Most people are not there for that.

    However, this is where I get hung up on all the people that say, “it’s not my job to educate you”, or, “I don’t owe you the emotional labor”. Those are both true statements. And they are both statements that are likely to turn people away, rather than inviting them in. The auth right foot soldiers–people like the Proud Man-children–are more than happy to tell people what they believe, and why they believe it. If you’re not willing to do it yourself–if you expect people to teach themselves–then you’re ceding territory to the people that want to harm others.
