Google has to make some changes to its app listing and billing policies in the wake of the Epic Games lawsuit.

These changes are amazing! F-Droid could be provided on Google Play, Aurora Store could officially access the google store without worrying about rotating accounts, alternative payment methods could finally be proposed by side by side google pay in a single app…

But what about the appeal? What does that mean for the implementation date? Will that still be 1 November?

    Hello,

Stumbling here from All, do you have any issue with [email protected] ? It’s already quite established and active, and not on LW

Reading the sidebars, this is android news for developers, and the one you linked is more generalized.

Beyond that, servers have different compositions so discussions can vary, and funneling everyone into single communities just leads to risk of reddit-style mod/admin abuse.

I agree that multiple communities are good, but on this topic there is

        • [email protected]
        • [email protected]
        • [email protected]

Splitting the few people wanting to discuss this across 3 or 4 communities is probably too much with the current Lemmy userbase

On the other hand [email protected] probably makes sense on programming.dev

I blocked Lemmy.ml due to many users there continuously glorifying Russia and China. Moving away from Lemmy.world is probably good for the network, and I’ve never heard of lemdroi.id . Due to the spam of USAian news on All, it’s also a place I avoid. This would’ve thus completely passed by me.

Interesting, I thought lemdro.id was quite well known. I might post it to [email protected] for people unaware of it like you
