I anthropomorphize the squirrel as a human noticing someone watching them eat and pausing eating to look at the observer with peripheral vision and without moving their head. In other words, is the squirrel seeing the camera and possibly pausing eating? Or is it focused on the task at handclaw?paw?, munching peanuts and making a mess on that lovely shirt?
