This shit is the reason people ignored real Covid threat. You get never ending fear mongering in headlines until you just dismiss all of them as dumb bait.
No, they thought they could bargain with it and then googled medical advice to argue aggressively with medical staff about, with all the conspiracy theories by snake oil vendors attached.
I get the “boy who cried wolf” theme, but they’re playing on the fact that the virus doesn’t care how many times you’ve quarantined for safety, and their fear-mongering is based on that. But people exerting “mah raghts” wasn’t a response to anything new on the news but a responsibility to their community they didn’t want to keep.
Pure indolence.
