TekSavvy has been offering fiber for a bit now. The article confirms they’re using the BeLUS last mile but that the prices they pay are very high. Sincerely hope the CRTC knocks it down. Until we get another ex ROBeLUS exec as chair. 😂

I refuse to leave teksavvy because fuck bell, fuck Rogers and their monopoly. I will pay more so I don’t have myself on the crooks books.

Teksavvt treats me like a human…rogers doesn’t know what the hell standards are.

Also the door to door harassment is absurd … I know when Rogers is coming because my internet magically slows down and drops connection randomly…within a week, Rogers is come around offering their horseshit.

        100%

Koodo called last week to offer me monthly internet for a $35/month contract. Just no. I will pay TekSavvy to continue not dealing with the monopolies directly.

Someones addicting to moderating…never a good sign when one person moderates that many subs.

I think Beaver’s trying to create the Lemmy she wants to see, and I appreciate it. Funny enough, I created a community for a telecom company recently and sought out her profile page to check on standard naming conventions. You have about twice as many as comments or posts as Beaver, but 32% of her contributions are posts compared to 0.69% of yours. You contribute in different ways, both enriching Lemmy. Me, I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt

I’m trying to not say anything really negative, mostly due to my only experience with over moderation stems from Reddit.
