Literally every single day conservatives push for tax breaks for big corporations and ultra-wealthy Americans calling them “job creators”. Trickle down economics is the prevailing philosophy of the Republican Party.
If conservatives don’t think it works, I guess I’m concerned about their continued push to concentrate wealth at the top, because the only explanation is that they want to turn the working class into a peasant class.
Because in our society “poor people” is a category that continues to grow, and consists of basically anyone without a Scrooge mcduck-level swimming pool of money.
You’d probably be surprised which category you fall into these days.
When they’re being exploited for their labor, absolutely.
We break our backs to make our bosses a buck and are trapped in a system that prevents us from revolting because 2/3 of us are about 3 paychecks away from starving or going homeless
why are conservatives so firmly in defence of billion dollar corporations?
Because they still desperately cling to the “trickle-down economics” line from the other celebrity they elected.
When is the last time you heard a conservative say “trickle-down economics”?
Was it 1988? Or more recent than that?

If Democrats didn’t think it worked, they wouldn’t have let it stay the whole time.
Clinton, Obama, Biden, etc, have all kept the same economic vision for America.
Yeah that’s because corporate democrats are much more center-right than the news would have you think.
The “left” is basically just progressives at this point.

Interesting role models, my dude.
Who is defending them? It’s California being weird again.
Is California in the room with you right now?
Why do leftist defend poor people?
What a telling reply
The Socratic method is alive and well, but only on one side of the aisle?

So being in a growing category is what makes poor people worthy of defense?
When they’re being exploited for their labor, absolutely.

Ok, I’m interested to see where this goes.
Leftists may defend poor people because they sense a moral obligation.
Wow. I’m stunned by your comment.
To rephrase it “Why should anyone care about anyone else?”
So, no answer? It is a serious question.
Righties only defend rich people?
They can’t answer it. Their entire philosophy is composed of sarcasm and snark.
Because poor people are people, caring about other people is empathy, and people without empathy are psychopaths.
Is that enough of an answer to you, or do you have other Dark Triad traits you’d like to self-report?
