I neglected to wash my backpack the last couple seasons and my 2p tent could use a wash. Zippers are feeling a little gritty.

I’ve seen some suggestions like baby shampoo, but the only stuff at the store was scented. Anyone use unscented castile soap?

Backpack I spray with a mild detergent and give it a bit of a rub and rinse in the shower.

Tent gets set up in the back yard (shake it out too) and hosed off, never had one dirty enough to need more than water. Left to completely dry before storing of course.

Sleeping bag gets the gentle cycle with a bit of detergent in my front-load washing machine and three tennis balls go in with it in the dryer to make sure it’s good and fluffy. I try and always use a liner in my sleeping bag so that I rarely need to wash it as I feel that’s probably best for longevity.
