It’s Pride month, a good time to share this reminder: It’s natural to be queer in the animal world.

Looking at animals strictly through a heteronormative lens has long limited scientific understanding and contributed to the othering of members of the LGBTQ+ community, per science experts.

    The headline when you click on the article is different for some reason, and it also made me laugh.

    LGBTQ+ animals: Many dolphins, penguins, bonobos are naturally queer

    The “naturally” part made me imagine a scientist repeatedly pushing two male penguins together and trying to force them to be two of the unnaturally queer penguins.

    There are also many animals that are asexual, and some can change their sex. I wonder why god allowed Noah to let all these gay, hermaphroditic, and transsexual animals on the ark.
