Omg as horrible as it is to go to any Tweet, especially now but really always, that was still nice to read.

In any case, thank you for sharing!:-)

If multi-image posts were a thing here, I’d have posted all the images, but having to post each image as an individual reply was too tedious a prospect, especially in the middle of work. (I actually haven’t read them yet - I just saw that they’d been posted, and thought people would want to know)

We might be able to submit them as a Mastodon-style “post” rather than a Lemmy/Kbin “thread”, but there’s issues with that, such as anyone using a Lemmy app would not be able to view them.

But I do need to stop whining about Twitter - like its’ webpage is legit annoying on a mobile without an account, but I could use a desktop or find some other alternative to access it.

Eh, Musk’s messed the site up so badly that I actively avoid it now as well. I see some accounts pushed through to a Discord server I’m in, and go specifically to check a couple of other accounts when I expect them to have posted, but the feed’s barely usable now. And I’m fine with not supporting it.

Did you see how the BBC news is thinking of starting their own Mastodon instance? Interesting things are happening for sure…

But also, how funny that I too noticed the high similarity between the new Twit logo vs. the close button for each of those four images: both were white Xs painted onto a dark background, and placed into the upper left hand corner. Although the Twitter experience from a mobile browser without an account has long (before Musk even) been… shall we just leave it at “somewhat similar to the equivalent experience for Reddit”?:-P

Oh, that’s nifty. It would be interesting to see how take-up continues for official accounts.

Ha, I hadn’t paid attention to that, but I see it. Great, their new logo encourages people to close the window/tab/app!
