I don’t know why she obsesses over labels. Mother of teens and a toddler has been her identity for a while. She won’t move L up to pre-schooler and now the oldest is turning 18. Why does she need to identify her as an adult?
Her ears like to change shape. Her brain seems to also be shrinking.
Wow! I knew the ears always seem so elongated but that pic you posted really shows how different it looks
Our ears and noses look different as we all age (they don’t actually continue to grow, but we do notice the effects of gravity and aging in these places the most for facial features). From what I have read, it’s only our skulls and our pelvises that grow slightly after we have fully reached adulthood. This is the reason that some peoples foreheads are more prominent in later age. With collagen loss as we age, our earlobes will appear larger and more elongated. Gravity is visible on our skin too;). Sometimes the elongated ears is also because people wear heavy jewelry which can stretch out the earlobes. Sometimes (or a lot) it will be photo editing but this type of thing does actually happened to a lot of people, and wearing heavy jewelry will definitely contribute to the lower part of the year it will being stretched quite significantly. Just looking at images of my grandparents from their youth compared to before they passed away, and other loved ones who have passed away, their ears as teenagers look totally different than as elderly people, and even as middle-aged people. Just putting it out there for anybody who is self-conscious about changes in their body as they age because aging is a definite privilege that we all don’t get to experience. Aging bodies are all awesome, but they for sure look different (more prominent foreheads, bigger in appearance noses, bigger appearing ears, wrinkles, less “sculpted” features, less full cheeks).
I appreciate you putting it out there. I might lack sensitivity because I don’t examine my body parts and judge them. I’m almost 60 and really don’t give a flying f*ck what anybody thinks about my appearance. I dress to make me happy.
Celebrate your age ! I think aging is so cool and I have never , nor will ever have procedures done to alter my age , but I do realize that a lot of people do and I won’t judge that it’s just a personal choice. The ear thing and nose thing I remember reading about because someone was trying to age a photo of Angelina Jolie years ago, and they kept her nose very small. I just gave her wrinkles, basically, and a dermatologist and another Dr (I cannot remember what kind I would have to go back and find it) mentioned that they noticed immediately how unrealistic it was because her nose overtime would have to appear larger as with her ears. And I never noticed that aging people in my family had larger, noses or ears, as they age, because I witnessed them aging, but after this year’s ago, I remember looking at pictures of my grandfather, before you got married to my grandmother, and then in the years before he passed away, and sure enough, those pictures were very noticeable. And I went back and looked at my grandmothers, too. It’s funny, though that I would not have noticed that (or cared) had someone not Photoshop someone’s face on social media and then experts in aging skin raise concern that it was very unrealistic, which then sent me down a rabbit hole of looking at pictures of my family as they aged. Aging is wonderful, minus ailments (I don’t think a lot of younger people will realize that the physical body appearance is so insignificant compared to what will happen to joints, flexibility, recovery time, heart, health, kidney health, etc. ). People can choose to alter their physical appearance as much as they want, but it doesn’t stop them from physically aging. Please enjoy your 60s and enjoy aging :). It’s so awesome that we get to do it:).
Thanks and I know you weren’t trying to come off this way because you really seem sincere but I don’t need anyone’s permission to enjoy each and every decade of my life but that’s because I truly like myself and enjoy my own company and wish that for everyone. I think my anger at SNL is largely based on her pushing looks and material goods as the means to achieving this end and tje proliferation of SM has made people less confident in themselves rather than being this tool to empowerment these people want you to believe. I’m with you in supporting people to do whatever they want to enhance their appearance and keep the hands of time at bay as long as they’re doing it for themself. Influencers like SNL who claim the image on their IG is all them hurt people and the doubling down gaslights the people who gave her this large platform.
Her superficial chasing fame and having no real convictions is so empty and it boggles my mind why people are so enamoured of her. She doesn’t want to make the world a better place for those 4 kids she just wants to make things better for her and it’s infuriating.
I think it’s because we all really do realize that our looks really are the least interesting thing about us- but we aren’t exploiting people to express it. You’re a cool human:)! Keep being like this :)
Thanks! You’re cool too - it’s so impressed to question what we see and get Involved when we know something isn’t right and too many people just don’t pay attention!
There are too many followers and not enough leaders these days
I think we do need to be careful we aren’t giving her another excuse for her differing photos, though. The kind of changes you mention aren’t something we would typically notice until we are much older than 39. The difference in her ears in photos is massive, and the stretching isn’t just seen in her earlobes; it’s an overall stretching and narrowing. That kind of difference would take decades and even then, not everyone would see that kind of difference.
Ya it looks like her earlobe has been stretched along the line of her jaw.
Omg SNL, yes! Both can be true… I thought you were the queen of duality
Good one!
