Welcome new members! Please take a second to read the rules located in the community sidebar.

We are doing our best to appeal the Reddit ban. In the meantime, we thought it might be nice to have a new safe space to snark and have made lemmy.ca our new home.

Please bear with us while we figure the new site out and please let any former TBP Reddit users know we are here!

Happy to be back with my people! 🩵

I made a couple comments yesterday about how our sub was no worse than many of the other snark subs that are allowed to remain on Reddit. But, snarking aside, do you know what’s even crazier? The Red Pill sub, which is a male supremacist sub that promotes toxic masculinity, misogyny, antifeminism, and r*pe culture through discussions on how to “get” women, is still allowed to remain on Reddit. It’s been quarantined since 2018, but it still exists and isn’t even that hard to find.

Those shit stains are allowed to continue their dangerous discourse that contributes to a society where women would rather be alone with a random bear than a random man, but god forbid we snark on a privileged influencer who lied, cheated, and stole to get to where she is today. It’s a fucking joke.

That’s disgusting and I hope the mods can use that in their appeal. We aren’t doing anything to birdie. Talking about someone isn’t harassment!!

Definitely no worse than other snarks. Imo, it was honestly the best snark I’ve seen personally. Especially after rules were changed. There was minimal actual bullying, zero actual harassment. Mods were on top of the rare comments that did break the rules. I hardly EVER saw anything that actually violated sitewide TOS.

I’ve seen other snarks that are actually bullying. Where appearance is made fun of, where comments are hateful and contain some form of an -ism, where some comments are downright vile. There was none of that on our sub really and the rare times it did happen, it was quickly addressed by our mods. our sub was really the most tame snark I have personally seen. Most of the comments about her appearance were not bullying but instead observations about her editing and dishonesty.
