Even Ghost Valley/Broken Pier and Mario Kart 64 tunnels are pretty obviously delimited with colourful stuff. And obviously all items and characters are ultra-bright.
Not sure retro 3D, racing and dark environments are a good fit, but maybe that’s just me.
