    Great shot! I like that the black collar is clearly identifiable given the name. Some species of bird have [colour]-[bodypart] in their name and I don’t see it. Big claws per body size. The gold colour is beautiful. Do hawks always look angry?

      Do hawks always look angry?

      Kind of. Most hawks look angry or at least extremely severe. It’s the beak shape and prominent unblinking eyes that does it. This hawk in particular is interesting with the black eyes.
