If there’s anything Good Omens is best at, it’s letting the natural chemistry of Tennant and Sheen shine. Even when they’re simply bantering over who gets to drive a car, it’s entertaining watching them play off of each other. It got me thinking what other series are successful because the actors’ chemistry elevating the material.
Off the top of my head:
- Breaking Bad
- True Detective
- It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

If you like these two, you owe it to yourself to watch “Staged”. It’s those two as actors trying to maintain rehearsals and sanity through the lockdown. Very funny and really highlights their friendship.
I watched it on Kanopy (in Canada), but it’s a BBC original series.
